Privacy Policy
How Clexta handles photo-library access, local app data, subscriptions, diagnostics, support information, and website data.
Effective Date: July 30, 2026
Clexta is designed around local, user-controlled photo and video review. Media analysis and review state ordinarily remain on your device; deletion requires your confirmation and is performed through Apple Photos.
1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how Rovlid LLC ("Rovlid," "we," "us," or "our") handles personal data in connection with the Clexta iOS application, the clexta.com website, support communications, subscription administration, and related services (collectively, the "Service").
Clexta is a local-first photo and video review tool. Its ordinary product workflow is designed to analyze the media library that you authorize, prepare review categories, record your review decisions, and request Apple Photos deletion only after you take an affirmative action and confirm the deletion.
This Policy describes data handling as of the Effective Date. Features, vendors, and processing practices may change, and we will update this Policy when legally required or when a material change affects how personal data is handled.
2. Who We Are
Clexta is provided by Rovlid LLC, a Texas limited liability company. Rovlid LLC is the controller of personal data that it determines how and why to process, including support communications, limited operational data, website data, and subscription-related information received in connection with Clexta.
For media content and app state that remain solely on your device, Clexta operates as software under your control. Rovlid does not receive that local content as part of ordinary app operation.

3. Scope
This Policy applies to the Clexta iOS application, clexta.com and its legal or support pages, communications that you initiate with us, and service providers that process data on our behalf in connection with Clexta.
This Policy does not govern Apple, the App Store, iCloud, Apple Photos, RevenueCat, or other independent third-party services. Those services operate under their own terms and privacy notices.
4. Privacy Summary
- Photos and videos are ordinarily analyzed on your device and are not uploaded to Rovlid servers for Clexta's core cleanup workflow.
- Clexta does not use your photo or video content to train AI models, build facial-recognition databases, or create biometric identity templates.
- Clexta does not sell your personal data for money and does not use your photo or video content for cross-context behavioral advertising.
- Clexta does not require a Rovlid account in its current iOS experience. Subscription access may be associated with an anonymous RevenueCat App User ID and App Store transaction information.
- Clexta asks for Apple Photos permission and processes only the media available under the permission level you grant.
- Clexta does not automatically delete media. Review and selection are separate from deletion; deletion requires your affirmative instruction and confirmation.
- When iCloud Photos is enabled, Apple may synchronize a confirmed deletion across devices. Apple, not Rovlid, controls iCloud Photos and the Recently Deleted album.
- Clexta may receive limited subscription, support, website, diagnostic, security, and operational information needed to provide and protect the Service.
5. How Clexta Works
Clexta scans and organizes the portion of your Apple Photos library that you authorize. It may prepare categories such as duplicates, visually similar items, screenshots, videos, large media, and swipe-based review queues. The exact categories and eligibility rules may change as the product evolves.
Clexta separates analysis, review, selection, confirmation, platform deletion, and outcome verification. A media item shown in a review category is not deleted merely because Clexta has identified or displayed it.
Clexta is not a cloud-backup service, permanent archival service, RAM cleaner, security vault, photo editor, or automatic deletion service.
6. Information Processed on Your Device
To provide its local review and cleanup features, Clexta may process and store the following information within the app container on your device:
- Photo and video references made available through Apple Photos permission.
- Media attributes needed for organization, such as media type, dimensions, duration, creation date, file size, and other locally available metadata.
- Thumbnails or temporary visual representations generated or obtained for on-device display and comparison.
- Duplicate and similar groupings, category membership, scan status, and local indexes.
- Your review decisions, selections, sort and filter preferences, and Swipe Trash Basket membership.
- Cleanup-job state, per-item result state, interruption-recovery state, and local evidence needed to avoid repeating a destructive action.
- App settings, onboarding state, continuity markers, and a locally cached subscription-entitlement snapshot.
Local processing does not mean Rovlid receives or can view this information. In ordinary operation, the categories above remain on your device unless you deliberately include information in a support request or a separate disclosure below applies.
7. Information We May Receive
7.1 Information You Provide
If you contact us, you may provide your name, email address, message, screenshots, screen recordings, device details, transaction details, or other information you choose to include. Please avoid sending photos, videos, or other sensitive material unless it is necessary for support and you are authorized to share it.
7.2 Subscription and Entitlement Information
Apple and RevenueCat may provide limited information needed to present offerings, validate purchases, determine subscription status, restore access, prevent duplicate entitlement grants, and resolve billing or support issues. This may include product identifier, transaction status, subscription period, renewal or expiration state, trial or introductory-offer eligibility, restore events, and an anonymous service identifier.
We do not receive your full payment-card number from Apple.
7.3 Diagnostic and Operational Information
Where privacy-protective diagnostics are enabled, Clexta may send limited technical and operational information needed to understand crashes, failures, performance, and service integrity. Examples may include app version, iOS version, device model class, feature or route, result or error class, duration bucket, aggregate item counts or byte totals, platform state, and non-media operation identifiers.
Diagnostic events are designed not to include raw Apple Photos asset identifiers, canonical media identifiers, filenames, file paths, local URIs, thumbnails, photo or video content, perceptual hashes, or precise media metadata.
7.4 Website and Security Information
When you visit clexta.com, our hosting or security providers may process basic request and server-log information such as IP address, browser or device type, requested page, timestamp, referring page, and security signals. Approximate location may be inferred from an IP address for security or regional operation, but Clexta does not request precise GPS location for its core service.
8. Information We Do Not Intentionally Collect
Clexta is not designed to collect categories that are unnecessary for its core photo and video review function. In particular, the current Service is not designed to collect:
- Your contacts, calendar events, Gmail or other email account content, SMS messages, or call logs.
- Precise GPS location, microphone recordings, or continuous camera capture.
- Government identification numbers, health records, financial-account credentials, or full payment-card details.
- Facial-recognition templates, voiceprints, fingerprints, or other biometric identifiers used to establish identity.
- Photo or video content for advertising, data brokerage, or model training.
- Advertising identifiers for cross-app tracking, such as IDFA, as part of Clexta's core product operation.
9. Photo Library Permission
Clexta requests permission through Apple's system interface before accessing your photo library. You may grant full access, grant limited access to selected items, deny access, or later change the permission in iOS Settings.
Clexta processes only the items available under the permission level you grant. If access is denied or limited, some categories may be incomplete or unavailable. Changing permission may cause Clexta to reconcile its local index with the media that is currently visible to the app.
Photo Library permission allows Clexta to inspect authorized media. It does not itself authorize deletion. A separate user instruction and confirmation are required before Clexta requests deletion through Apple Photos.
10. Duplicate, Similar, and Review Analysis
Clexta uses automated on-device logic to organize media and assist review. Exact-duplicate categories may use deterministic file or media signals. Similar-photo categories may use visual or metadata signals to suggest items that appear related.
A similarity result is not a statement that two photos are identical, unwanted, poor quality, or safe to delete. Automated groupings may be incomplete, inaccurate, or affected by library changes, media availability, device state, or algorithm updates.
Clexta does not use automated analysis to make a decision that produces legal or similarly significant effects about you. You remain responsible for reviewing media and deciding what, if anything, to delete.
11. Media Deletion, Apple Photos, and iCloud Photos
When you confirm a deletion, Clexta requests Apple Photos to delete the selected media. Apple may display its own system confirmation and controls the platform-level result.
Deleted media is ordinarily moved by Apple to the Recently Deleted album, where Apple may allow recovery for a limited period. Rovlid does not control that period, permanent deletion, recovery eligibility, or Apple's future Photos behavior.
If iCloud Photos is enabled, Apple may synchronize a confirmed deletion across your devices and iCloud Photos library. Clexta does not upload media to iCloud, measure iCloud storage, control synchronization, or independently restore items deleted from Apple Photos.
Clexta's Swipe Trash Basket is an internal review queue. Adding an item to that queue does not delete it from Apple Photos. Restoring an item from the Clexta queue only removes its local queue membership; it does not recover media that Apple Photos has already deleted.
12. Subscriptions and RevenueCat
Clexta uses Apple App Store billing and RevenueCat subscription infrastructure to present offerings, process purchase and restore flows, and determine whether Clexta Pro access is active.
Clexta currently uses RevenueCat without requiring a user login and may rely on an anonymous App User ID generated by the RevenueCat SDK. Rovlid does not use that anonymous identifier to identify your photo content or to create a consumer advertising profile.
RevenueCat acts as a service provider or processor for subscription administration. It does not determine which media you review, select, or delete, and it does not receive photo or video content as part of Clexta's ordinary cleanup workflow.
13. Website Data and Cookies
Clexta.com may use cookies or similar technologies that are strictly necessary for security, page delivery, preference storage, or consent management. Optional analytics will be used only where enabled and where required consent or other legal authority exists.
The legal pages at clexta.com/privacy and clexta.com/terms are intended to be available without requiring an account. Browser controls may allow you to delete or block cookies, although doing so may affect certain website functions.
14. How We Use Information
- Provide, maintain, secure, and improve Clexta and clexta.com.
- Display offerings, validate purchases, enable Clexta Pro, and restore eligible purchases.
- Diagnose crashes, investigate incomplete or interrupted operations, improve reliability, and prevent a destructive action from being repeated.
- Respond to support messages, privacy requests, complaints, and billing-related questions.
- Prevent fraud, entitlement manipulation, unauthorized use, abuse, and security incidents.
- Maintain accounting, audit, legal, tax, security, and dispute-resolution records where necessary.
- Comply with lawful requests, court orders, regulations, and other legal obligations.
- Analyze de-identified or aggregate operational trends that do not contain media content or directly identify a user.
15. Legal Bases
Where applicable law requires a legal basis, including in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom, we rely on one or more of the following:
- Performance of a contract: to provide the Service, process your requested purchase or restore flow, and respond to service requests.
- Consent: for Apple Photos permission and, where legally required, optional website analytics, cookies, or other optional processing. An iOS permission and a data-protection legal basis are separate mechanisms and may both apply.
- Legitimate interests: to secure the Service, prevent fraud and abuse, diagnose failures, improve reliability, protect users, and defend legal claims, provided those interests are not overridden by your rights.
- Legal obligations: to comply with tax, accounting, consumer-protection, regulatory, legal-process, and recordkeeping requirements.
16. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal data for money. We do not share photo or video content for cross-context behavioral advertising. We may disclose limited personal data only as reasonably necessary in the following circumstances:
- Apple and the App Store, for distribution, purchases, subscription management, refunds, and platform services.
- RevenueCat, for offering presentation, purchase validation, entitlement status, and restore functionality.
- Diagnostics, hosting, security, email, and support providers that process data for us under appropriate contractual and technical controls.
- Professional advisers, auditors, insurers, and legal representatives where reasonably necessary.
- Courts, regulators, law-enforcement bodies, or other authorities when disclosure is required or permitted by law.
- A buyer, successor, financing party, or adviser in connection with a merger, acquisition, restructuring, financing, bankruptcy, or sale of all or part of the business, subject to applicable law.
17. Data Retention
| Term | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Photo and video content | Not stored on Rovlid servers as part of Clexta's ordinary cleanup workflow. |
| Local media index and review state | Stored in the Clexta app container on your device until reset, app removal, replacement, or other device-side deletion, subject to iOS behavior. |
| Subscription and entitlement data | Retained for as long as reasonably needed to administer access, restore purchases, resolve disputes, and meet accounting or legal requirements. |
| Support communications | Retained for the time reasonably needed to resolve the request, document the response, prevent abuse, and satisfy legal obligations. |
| Diagnostics and security records | Retained for a limited period reasonably necessary for reliability, security, abuse prevention, audits, and dispute handling. |
| Website logs and consent records | Retained for a limited operational or legally required period. |
| De-identified aggregate data | May be retained longer when it cannot reasonably be linked to an individual and is used for product or reliability analysis. |
18. Delete My Data and Privacy Requests
18.1 Local App Data Reset
The in-app Delete My Data control is designed to clear Clexta-owned local app data and return the app to onboarding. It may clear local indexes, review decisions, queue membership, cleanup history, settings, and continuity state.
The in-app control does not delete your photos or videos, cancel an Apple subscription, remove Apple transaction records, delete RevenueCat records that must be retained for subscription administration or legal purposes, or automatically erase support correspondence held outside the app.
18.2 Privacy Rights Request
You may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, objection, or other applicable rights by contacting support@clexta.com. Because Clexta is designed without a Rovlid account and much of its data remains solely on your device, we may have little or no data that can be associated with you.
We may need information reasonably necessary to verify a request, such as the email address used to contact support, relevant transaction or subscription details, the approximate request date, or another non-media identifier. We will not request more information than reasonably necessary for verification.
19. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live and subject to legal exceptions, you may have the right to:
- Know whether we process personal data about you and receive information about that processing.
- Access personal data we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete personal data.
- Request deletion of personal data.
- Restrict or object to certain processing.
- Receive certain data in a portable format.
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent, without affecting prior lawful processing.
- Opt out of sale, sharing, targeted advertising, or certain profiling where those activities occur and applicable law grants the right.
- Use an authorized agent or appeal a denied request where applicable law provides those rights.
- Exercise privacy rights without unlawful discrimination.
- Complain to a competent data-protection authority.
20. U.S. State Privacy Disclosures
Residents of California, Texas, and other U.S. states with comprehensive privacy laws may have additional rights. The categories of personal data Clexta may process are described in Sections 6 and 7; the purposes are described in Section 14; and the categories of recipients are described in Section 16.
Clexta does not sell personal data for monetary consideration. As of the Effective Date, Clexta is not designed to use personal data for cross-context behavioral advertising or targeted advertising as those terms are defined by applicable state privacy laws. If our practices materially change, we will update this Policy and provide any legally required opt-out mechanism.
We may need to verify your identity and authority before completing a request. If an appeal right applies and we deny your request, you may appeal by replying to our decision or contacting us with the subject line "Privacy Appeal."
21. International Transfers
Rovlid LLC is based in the United States. Service providers may process limited personal data in the United States or other countries where they operate. Those countries may have different data-protection laws from your country.
Where legally required, we use appropriate transfer safeguards, which may include contractual protections, Standard Contractual Clauses, adequacy decisions, or other legally recognized mechanisms.
22. Children and Age Limits
Clexta is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from a child under 16 in violation of applicable law.
If you believe a child has provided personal data to us, contact support@clexta.com. We will investigate and take appropriate action. A user who is under the age of legal majority must use Clexta only with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian where required by law.
23. Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect the limited personal data we process. Depending on the data and system involved, safeguards may include data minimization, local processing, access controls, encryption in transit, provider controls, logging restrictions, environment separation, monitoring, and incident-response procedures.
No method of electronic storage, transmission, or processing can be guaranteed to be completely secure. You are responsible for protecting your device, Apple Account, device passcode, backups, and access to Apple Photos.
24. Automated Processing
Clexta uses automated systems to categorize media, calculate estimates, validate entitlement status, detect operation state, and support reliability and security. These systems assist the user and operate the Service; they are not intended to make decisions with legal or similarly significant effects about you.
Estimated recoverable space and suggested media groupings are informational. They may differ from the final result because media availability, file size, Apple Photos behavior, iCloud synchronization, operating-system state, and user selections can change.
25. Third-Party Services
Clexta relies on or interacts with services provided by Apple and RevenueCat and may use additional providers for website hosting, security, support, email delivery, or privacy-safe diagnostics. Third parties operate under their own privacy notices and may independently determine some processing activities.
We choose providers based on operational need and may replace them. We will update this Policy when a provider change materially affects required disclosures.
26. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in Clexta, applicable law, vendors, security practices, or data handling. The updated Policy will state a new effective date.
Where required by law, we will provide additional notice or obtain consent before a material change takes effect. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
27. Contact
Questions, privacy requests, and complaints may be sent to support@clexta.com. Please include enough information for us to understand your request, but do not include unnecessary photo or video content.
